Without a relationship with Jesus, we will have a longing we do not understand; an emptiness inside of us that nothing in this world will ever be able to fill. To be in a relationship with Him means we need to get to know Him, to choose to and actually spend time with Him and continue to work at understanding what He has to say.
John tells us in his gospel that, “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24, NASB) Since God is spirit, we also need to be prepared spiritually for our time with Jesus.
